About Me
- Nicole Hovdestad
- Hi! I'm Nicole, i'm from Sioux Falls, SD. During the year i stay pretty busy with sports, and i am a fan of almost every sport. But i would have to say that extreme sports are my favortie. Hanging out with my friends is a must for me and we always know how to have a good time. This summer was one of the hardest times i've ever been though but i'm hoping college is all that it's made out to be!

Symbolism
Well i found that the white in the White Herion was to symolize the purity of everything in the story. The fact that sylvia was able to not tell the hunter where the bird was even if that ment her giving up the money that he offered her. Also the symbolism of the white i also felt like was part of sylvia exploring, she has the freedom like the bird does to roam where she wants to and find new things out in the forest. Just like the hunter says that the bird usually is not found in that area typically, but the bird had the freedom to move where it wanted to and it was in that area at the time. One last thing that i found of symbolism would have to be the white representing the different types of things that sylvia is able to do, her grandma gives her the freedom to go get the cow and take on many responsibilities that her brother would have had if he would have still been there. Showing her responsibility of everything like the bird did to get away from the hunter and not be seen.
